Situated on an isolated island in a remote location with only the slightest touch of tourism where you can get premium service and privacy, this resort is perfect for those with a lot of hotel points to burn. Additionally, the eco-conscious can be at ease as the resort has won awards for its eco-friendly endeavors.

Deluxe Park Pool Villa

The best accommodation option and what both young couples and parents with small children should opt for if what they’re looking for is premium privacy. Overwater villas are wonderful, but often times they’re cheek-by-jowl to each other, which sometimes spoils the seclusion. There are 8 of these villas tucked away in the greenery of the small isle, creating the feeling of having the whole island to yourself. Additionally, most of the other Park Villas on the island share the same layout and overall design, so you can use this as a benchmark for other land villas as well. Not only are these villas huge with an expansive veranda but there’s also a private strip of beach right across. An amazing setting along with excellent luxury is bound to give guests an unforgettable stay. There’s even a private butler service that’s convenient as well as discreet. After all, luxury is personal as the resort’s motto goes. Make sure not to pick any villas within the room numbers from 1 to 6, as there have been reported erosion of the beach a few years ago.

Interior

The overall area that this villa covers is 265 sqm making it one of the largest villas of the resort. A large bedroom furnished with dark wooden textures all around and a slightly slanted ceiling. The floor is a striking white and so is the huge, plush bed that contrasts well with the dark wooden timbers. The furniture has earthy tones and huge glass doors Infront of the bedroom and to the right, making for a stylistic appearance. There’s also a study on the opposite side of the bedroom. Overall, it’s quite a distinct and unique style that’s very minimalist and rustic. Some would argue that for the price bracket, the furnishing and décor is lacking. Also, the bathroom feature’s a large outdoor tub and shower.

Exterior

The outdoor living concept is the main selling point of these villas. Park Hyatt Hadahaa is a resort that does not need to go above and beyond with its architecture to impress tourists, as the island itself is the attraction. Most of the space of the villa goes to the outdoor deck that features a private pool and a huge sofa bed sheltered by a cabana. These shaded areas are basically the living rooms you’d find attached the bedroom at other resorts. The pools are as big as they get, when it comes to private ones attached to villas and can easily fit a family of three. Moreover, there are sunbeds which you can set up on the deck, or on the beach right just a few steps beyond the deck. The overall exterior design makes for a very sleek and chic villa taking a unique spin on the concept of rustic minimalism.

The Location

Located in one of the largest and deepest atolls in Maldives, the island of Hadahaa is in the northeast section of the Huvadhoo Atoll. The charming little island is thick with vegetation and a lovely little beach extending into the sparkling blue lagoon. The closest island 10 Kilometers away, it really does feel like you have the whole Laccadives Sea to yourself. There’s also an amazing, untouched coral reef that surrounds the island that underwater enthusiasts only dream of. Unlike most resorts with only a few snorkeling spots around the lagoon, the whole island is surrounded by this house reef. The island of Hadahaa is 400 Km south of Male’ and just 56 Km north of the equator. Park Hyatt staff meet guests at the international airport and escort the guests to the domestic flight that lasts 45 minutes to Kooddoo. Guests are also greeted by the resort representatives and are escorted to the resort by a short 20-minute speedboat ride.

Accommodation

There are 14 units lined up along the curved jetty overlooking the water and 36 villas outlining the whole island. On the island, there are 16 Park Villas and 20 Park Pool Villas, 8 of which are the large, more luxurious Deluxe Park Pool Villas. They are scattered across the vegetation right behind the beach, in no particular order. All the restaurants and facilities are on the northern tip of the island and since the beach is eroded near that area, you shouldn’t look for the villas closest to the main resort site when picking a room. Land villas features a private deck with table, chairs and two sun loungers, an outdoor garden bathroom with bathtub and rain shower, and private beach access. The first 7 water villas, closest to the island are ordinary Park Water Villas and the last 7 are the Park Sunset Water Villas. Park Water Villas offer spectacular panoramic ocean views from the private deck outside and individual access to the coral-filled waters below.

Park Water Villas and Sunset Pool Villas

Both these villas have identical décor, furnishing and features. The wow-factor that separates them is that the Sunset Park Pool Villas directly face the sunset making for spectacular sunset views where the amber and golden tones blend beautifully with pink clouds. Built with lots of dark wood with rich and dark textures to make for a charming ambience. The interior is much larger in these villas but the outside deck is small and there’s no pool. They are great, but very close to one another and seeing the next villa from your deck ruins the feeling of seclusion whilst on the Park Pool Villas that premium privacy is unshakable. The Park Sunset Water Villas are the obviously the more premium option and the further away from the island you are, the better.
