Kandima Maldives The New Playful Resort Is Now Open

UPDATE: Known as Kandima Maldives the resort welcomed its first guests in last February. Guest reviews are going so far so good. The resort was originally planned for 274 rooms. After a minor change during the construction phase the resort is now finishing up the interior works of unfinished villas. Once completed Kandima will have its grand opening on 21 April 2017 and all 272 villas will become available, according to sources close to Maldives Finest.

Currently there are 66 villas open (under soft opening) and this includes Beach Villa, Ocean Pool Villa, Beach Studio and Sky Studio. Food and beverage facilities in operation include Flavours restaurant, Deli cafe and Breeze bar.

The island is managed by an experienced local chain called Universal Resorts which also manages Kuramathi, Kurumba, Baros, Maafushivaru, Kandolhu, Velassaru, and recently opened Milaidhoo. First tourist hotel in the Maldives was opened by Universal Resorts. Since then the chain enjoy high reputation both locally and internationally. Universal has partnership with some of the world's finest resort chains while holding stake in an emerging brand has resorts in Maldives and abroad. The hospitality group is headed by Mr M.U Manik who's favourite food is roasted whole lamb and rice pudding.

Kandima is offering discounted prices during the soft opening to compromise on going developments in the resort. Reviews going good means not much of risks but it is definitely not as good as a resort in full operation. The choice is yours. If you want cheaper rates now is the time. If you expect person in everything get ready for its official grand opening.

A new playful concept resort affordable for mid-income tourists is now taking shape in Dhaalu Atoll. It is called Kandima Maldives. The richness of lush tropical vegetation and natural beauty of its lagoon blended with contemporary design philosophy is believed to make Kandima one of the finest in 2016. Transfer between the airport and resort takes just 30 minutes by domestic flight to Kudahuvadhoo followed by a boat ride of 20 minutes. Affordable transfer sets a lot of things straight in the first place.

Kandima Maldives is constructing 274 rooms in the initial stage, more rooms are planned to be added in another phase but that will be after some years in operation. It is a huge resort in Maldives concept, the island itself is 3 km long. The main pool of the resort will be as big as 100 metres.

The resort is targeting all kinds of tourists; honeymooners, families, couples, solo travelers, young adventurous tourists, divers, relaxation and wellness seeking guests etc.
