Kandima Maldives, the new playful contemporary resort, has announced opening in December 2016. Once opened this will be the 4th and largest resort in Dhaalu Atoll with 274 rooms.
Per Aquum Niyam is currently (as of 17th Sept 2016)
ranked Top 13th in the Maldives on Maldives Resort Ranking. This is a good indication that Dhaalu Atoll offers a good setting for a resort that wants to succeed.
Kandima Maldives being a four star resort that is relatively large in Maldives size but the largest, it is strategically located close to the domestic
airport of Kudahuvadhoo. The speedboat ride takes just 20 minutes from domestic airport which just a moment of exploration of Dhaalu Atoll by sea.

Domestic airport transfer has its own advantages. The foremost is being cost effective. Seaplane transfer is a good experience but a costly expense on the other hand. For guests who wants to save on transfers and spend that budget on good accommodation or dining Kandima offers 6 different room categories and several restaurants and bars. You could also spend that budget on excursions such as dolphin watching or big game fishing. If you are a diver there are many reefs that were never explored as locals do not practice deep dive, the fishermen only snorkle to catch bait fish. No one actually knows that is deep down there. From the success story of Niyama we know the marine lives are beautiful in Dhaalu Atoll but there must be a lot to be discovered.
Recent discovery of
manta (manta rays) and hammerheads in Dhaalu Atoll only adds up the positive aspects in largely undiscovered paradise atoll. Manta Ray season starts in December and lasts through April. Tourists have reported seeing hammerhead sharks too. Through out the year there are plenty of fish and colourful corals to enjoy every dives.
